Every month the Gateway District of the Denver Area Council holds its "Roundtable" Meeting.

They are held the first Thursday of the month at 7:00pm

 Adult Scout Training

There are many levels of training for Adults involved in Cub Scouts.

It starts with an online version of "Fast Start" training.

There is also a schedule of all levels of training held by the Council. It starts with Basic, then position - specific, up through various levels of outdoors skills and more. Also, once a year is an all-day event called Pow Wow.

In the Fall (October) there is a major training event called "Pow Wow".  Next date is: October 27, 2007.

In the Spring (March) there is a major event called "Chautauqua"

Levels of Cub Scout Training:

Fast Start - online multimedia. takes about 1 hour. Requires QuickTime web browser plugin.
New Leader Essentials (NLE) - 90 minute classroom.
Youth Protection Training (YPT) - required every 2 year via online or every 3 years in person
Health and Safety (H&S) - required every 2 years
Leader Specific: Den Leaders, Cubmaster, Committee Chairperson and members
Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO) - 6 hours for outdoor activity leadership
Webelos Leader Outdoor Training (WLOT) - For Webelos Leaders of outdoor / overnight activities
Civic Leader Training - every 3 to 5 years
Wood Badge - advanced outdoor adult leader training. Intended for Boy Scout Leaders, but valuable for all adults leading and working with youth.
