 Service Projects

According to the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) guidelines, a pack or troop should perform two service projects per year for their charter organization. This is only a guideline.

So, some ideas of what we could do for our charter: Nativity of Our Lord Parish:

  • paint playground lines
  • fix / paint fences
  • paint / repair / cleanup sheds
  • book drive: collect/clean out old books
  • Serve donuts after mass per the Hospitality Committee
  • popcorn to custodial staff (microwave)
  • popcorn of school office and parish office: sign: "Courtesy of Pack 766 and website" (big tin)

History:  For our Pack "Good Turn" project we have done the following:

- 2004: clean up at Broomfield Rec Center. leaves, trash, etc. Scheduled for Nov. but snowed out. Did it in the spring.

- 2005: Helped out at the Broomfield Recycling Center. Unload cars, sort materials, clean up.
Tip: bring scissors to cut out the "Box Top for Education" labels for school credit. We saw lots of them going into the dumpster.
